ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY: MAKING LIFE'S TASKS A LITTLE EASIER

The "Assistive Technology: Making Life's Tasks a Little Easier" training manual and program were developed by the Utah Assistive Technology Program (UATP). UATP is the Utah Tech Act Project and is a program within the university-affiliated Center for Persons with Disabilities at Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

UATP is funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) of the United States (US) Office of Education in Washington, DC. We wish to thank the Iowa Program for Assistive Technology (IPAT), the Hawaii Assistive Technology Training and Services (HATTS) program, and Namea Kokua No Na Kupuna for sharing their curriculum. Portions of this manual were adapted from each of these projects.

We also wish to acknowledge the Area Agencies on Aging, Senior Citizen Centers and Independent Living Centers in Utah who participated in piloting and promoting this program. Their involvement is critical to its success. The contract number for this project is H224A90051.

The content of this manual does not necessarily reflect the position nor policy of NIDRR nor the US Office of Education. No official endorsement of this material should be inferred.
