SERVICES IN THE HOME

SUPERVISED APARTMENT

  A supervised apartment means an apartment setting in which individuals with disabilities reside either alone or with one or two roommates who may or may not have a disability. No more than three individuals are allowed to reside in a single supervised apartment.

Services:
Services are dependent upon the individuals need. They might include:

  • counselor
  • transportation
  • shopping
  • help with housekeeping
  • 24-hour personal assistance

To qualify for a supervised apartment contact the Division of Services for People with Disabilities office. Contact number is in the local phone book under Utah State Government.

Financing:
Once an individual qualifies for services there is no charge. An individual receiving this service must have a source of income such as Supplemental Security Income which will allow the individual to contribute toward living expenses.
