HOME HEALTH SERVICES

  Home health agencies provide Medicare/Medicaid approved services that are ordered by a physician. Skilled nursing care enables individuals with moderate to severe disabilities to remain independent in their homes.

Services:
Services provided by the home health agencies include:

  • skilled nursing care
  • personal assistance/personal care
  • bathing
  • assistance with dressing
  • medication management
  • dressing changes
  • physical therapy
  • occupational therapy
  • speech therapy

Contact:

Work with your physician to choose appropriate services and to have services ordered from a home health agency.

Financing:

Some home health agencies accept private payment options, but most work directly with insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid and the state funded programs such as personal attendant care, the Alternatives program, and the Medicaid Waiver programs.
