RESOURCES In this training booklet,
we will discuss different types of financial resources available. These resources
can help individuals to plan for their future financial security and that of their
family. The topics we will discuss include:
- documents to keep for long periods of time
- safe
keeping documents
- investment or savings sources
for future planning
- programs that supplement
your income
- a brief review of insurance options
For the purpose of this
training we are defining financial resources as money in saving accounts, pension
plans or other accounts. Included in this discussion are important documents that
allow us to make decisions and to protect our interests as we age or become incapacitated
with a disability. We will discuss programs individuals may qualify for to help
supplement their income. Finally, there will be a brief review of insurance options
and where to get additional information on insurance programs. This
booklet does not provide information regarding financial planning. Financial planning
is best done with:
